The weekend following Pascha, Fr. Gabriel had to be away due to family obligations, and Readers Services were held at our parish while he was traveling.
That Sunday, Thomas Sunday, Fr. Gabriel was able to concelebrate the Divine Liturgy at his home parish, and while there he received a generous gift from the parish rector, Fr. Matthew Smith. When Fr. Matthew and his late father-in-law, the ever-memorable Fr. Stavros Roussos, had their own mission parish, they were gifted a Plaschanitsa (Shroud) from Fr. Eugene Antonov and the parish of Joy of All Who Sorrow in Cumming, GA. Fr. Matthew has now passed that Plaschanitsa onto our parish, for which we are most grateful.
